Hey guys, Friday Favorites is hosted by Kibby who started this tag at Something of the Book. And this tag is just a fun way to share some of your favorite things every Friday 🙂
I’ll be honest, I sometimes have a bit of trouble figuring out which books are underrated. I mean, how do I know if its underrated or not, there could be so many people talking about the book but I don’t know therefore I think its underrated. But, I’m going to give it a shot and say a book thats my favorite that I consider underrated.
I think the book Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys is an underrated book. This book is about a girl named Lina who is Lithuanian in 1941. Soviet officers bang on her home and tear her and her family away from the life they’ve known. When separated from her father, Lina along with her mother and brother make their way up to Siberia to work in the labor camps under the order of Stalin.
This book is honestly a whirlwind of emotions and its just so beautiful written. If you haven’t given this book a read I don’t know what your doing but drop it and add this to your TBR. There are so many beautiful elements in this book that makes it so wonderful and I definitely think more people need to read it.
