Most Anticipated Reads for 2019

IMG_0764.jpegSo, in theory I should have done this in the beginning of January. But it slipped my mind so I am doing this now, but hey! better late than never am I right. So since I didn’t do this in the beginning of January, there might be one or two January releases on here as a heads up, along with some February books that have already been released.

January:

So my most anticipated release that came out in January was like many others I am sure, King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. I am so excited to jump back into the Grishaverse, plus its a story about Nikolai, along with some other awesome characters. Like honestly, how can this not be on everyone’s most anticipated list if they’ve read the other series in the Grishaverse. This came out on January 29th.

Another book I was super excited for that came out in January was The Wicked King by Holly Black. This is the second installment in the Cruel Prince series. I really enjoyed the first book along with the second. Though I liked the first book better, I very much enjoyed the second book. I am excited for the next book to come out because The Wicked King left on such a cliffhanger. This came out on January 8th.

February:

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas is a book I cannot wait to read. I loved The Hate U Give so much so I am excited to read Angie’s next book. This came out on February 5th.

Enchantée by Gita Release is a historical fiction book set in the 1700s taking place in France. Maria Antoinette and King Louis XVI are some of my favorite monarchs to read and learn about so the fact that this book takes place in the court has me sold. This came out on 5th.

An Affair of Poisons by Addie Thorley. This is a book involving King XVI and poisonssss! I am super fascinated by the premise of this book and I can’t wait to read it. This book comes out on the 26th.

March:

Internment by Samira Ahmed is a dystopian book(that’s the vibe I’m getting from it) where the main character and her family are forced into an internment camp for Muslims. This is a book that could very well be the future of the U.S. one day which is just horrible to think about, and to me it makes this book all the more fascinating(lets keep track of how many times I use a version of fascinating lol). This comes out on the 19th.

Shadow Me by Tahereh Mafi. I am just sooooo excited for this novella like I love Kenji too much and am thrilled that this novella is in his point of view. This comes out on the 5th.

April:

Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan comes out in the month of March and I have heard so many great things about this book that I just can’t wait to get my hands on it and read it. This comes out on the 2nd.

Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi comes out in April and ahhhh I cannot wait. That ending of Restore Me just left me with my mouth gaping open and I just ugh I can’t wait for this book. Like can April just come faster please. This also comes out on the 2nd.

The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare comes out this month which I did not know and now I am so excited for it. This book follows Magnus(who is one of my faves) and Alec! I just cannot wait for this book to come out but my Cassandra Clare shelf is so full I don’t know where I’m going to put it😅 This comes out on April 2nd as well.

King of Fools by Amanda Foody also comes out in April which I did not realize. I loved Ace of Shades so much(feel free to check out my review on it here). I really enjoyed the world of the book and can’t wait to see what the next installment holds! This comes out on the 30th.

May:

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal comes out in May ahhh!! I am just so excited to finally dive into this book when it comes out! This comes out on the 14th.

Finale by Stephanie Garber comes out in May eek!! I love the Caraval series so so much and I am so sad to see this series come to an end but I cannot wait for what this awesome book holds. This comes out on the 30th.

Romanov by Nadine Brandes. The Romanov family is another one of my favorite monarch people to read and learn about. I have always been interested in them but ever since I got hooked to the musical Anastasia I have just been wanting to read like everything about them. This book combines the royal family, more specifically Anastasia herself and spells, like how fascinating is that(#3). This comes out on the 7th.

Again, but Better by Christine Ricco is going to come out in May. I love watching Christine so I just cannot wait to read her book because I have a feeling its gonna be great.

June:

N/A(I hope this is the right term lol)

July:

Queen of Ruin by Tracy Banghart is going to come out in June! I really loved Grace and Fury so I can’t wait to see what the next book holds. This comes out on the 2nd.

August:

October:

The World of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas comes out in October! This seems like it’s not really a book per say but sort of like a guide if that makes sense. Regardless of what it is, I’m buying it😂 This comes out on the 1st!

The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh. This book just seems fascinating(#4). Plus it takes place in the late 1800s so, that’s a yes from me. This comes out on the 8th.

November:

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare! Again, don’t know where I’m going to put this on my shelf but ahh I’m just so excited for it! This comes out on the 19th.

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I really liked the Night Circus and I’m so excited to see what Erin does with this fascinating(#5) book. This comes out on the 5th.

December:

N/A

So there it is, a list of all my anticipated releases for the year. What are some of your anticipated releases?
